Yes, it is possible to park at Le Monastère. However, we have a limited number of spaces available. These cost $25 per day (in addition to your stay). To plan your trip by public transport or by car, please visit our Contact Us page.

Free Wi-Fi throughout the facilities. 

Le Monastère des Augustines provides bedding, towels and bathrobes in all rooms. Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and hair dryers are available in the bathrooms. Ironing boards and irons are available in contemporary rooms or on request for authentic rooms.

Yoga and meditation accessories (mats, straps, blocks, cushions and blankets) are provided for retreats, daily movement and wellness activities and our programming.

To enhance your rejuvenation experience, there are no televisions or telephones in the rooms. A telephone to reach reception is available on the floor. Also, given the heritage nature of the site, there are no fridges in the units. A small fridge is available at reception for medical needs.

Remember to bring a reusable water bottle and indoor shoes for your stay. Weather-appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear are also recommended for the meditation walk or to enjoy the courtyard and garden of the Augustinians.

Arrivals are from 4 pm. In case of late arrival or after 11 p.m., please inform us in advance. Departures must be made before noon. Some groups may be asked to leave earlier, in which case you will be informed in advance. For early arrivals or late departures, please do not hesitate to contact us at 1 844 694-1639 (toll-free) to learn about the possibilities. Charges may apply.

A pre-authorization for the total amount of your stay and a $200 security deposit will be required upon arrival at Le Monastère. For this reason, a valid credit card with an expiry date and security code is required when booking.

In the case of a group retreat, we will make a prepayment for the entire stay 30 days before the start of your activity. A security deposit of $200 will be required upon arrival at Le Monastère.

Smoking is prohibited on the entire Monastery site, inside and out. The same applies to electronic cigarettes and cannabis.

Given that Le Monastère des Augustines is a priceless heritage site and, furthermore, built entirely of wood, it is imperative for us to minimize the risks of fire. That’s why lighting candles or burning incense on our premises is forbidden.

It is possible to cancel free of charge up to 4 p.m. (local time) two days before the scheduled arrival of your stay. For late cancellations or date changes made less than 48 hours before scheduled arrival, you will be charged the amount of one night’s stay plus taxes. In the case of a change of date, the amount deducted may be used as a credit for the stay on the new dates. Please refer to the cancellation policy on your accommodation confirmation for group stays.

Some Augustinian Sisters still live in a wing near Le Monastère des Augustines. They come to the choir every day for Lauds and Vespers. You’re welcome to join them if you feel like it. The garden in Le Monastère’s grounds also belongs to them, and they generously make it available to our guests. Perhaps you’ll come across one of them during your stay!

Le Monastère des Augustines is an NPO offering a wellness experience in contact with the Augustinians’ heritage. We treat religion from a historical and cultural perspective. Our non-denominational approach allows visitors to experience their spirituality personally and privately. No religious activities are offered as part of our activities. 

Nevertheless, the Augustinians invite you to attend Lauds, Masses and Vespers in the choir. The schedule is posted at the choir entrance. You can also visit the Centre Catherine-de-Saint-Augustin, a place of spirituality, commemoration and pilgrimage under the responsibility of the Sisters, located in Le Monastère’s historic church.

The choice of a stay or retreat in silence at the Le Monastère des Augustines is yours. If this is your wish, we invite you to ask for a name tag at reception to identify yourself and preference to our staff and other guests. 

In addition, please note that breakfast at Le Monastère des Augustines is offered in silence, a morning ritual in keeping with the historical vocation of the premises that allows you to start the day with serenity. 

Although silence is not compulsory at Le Monastère, quiet hours are held between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. to encourage everyone to properly rest.

Yes, children are welcome at Le Monastère. However, before planning a stay at Le Monastère with your child, please remember that there are no TVs in the rooms or swimming pool.

Unfortunately, pets are not allowed at Le Monastère des Augustines, with the exception of guide dogs and animals that assist the disabled. Please notify us before your stay at 1 844 694-1639 (toll-free) if this applies to you. When you arrive at Le Monastère, we may ask for your service dog certificate or a medical prescription attesting to the need for an assistance dog.

We invite people with reduced mobility to use the group entrance at 77 rue des Remparts when arriving at Le Monastère. An elevator to the reception area is located on this floor. Our staff can suggest different ways of getting around Le Monastère to suit your needs. 

As some rooms are only partially accessible, please advise us of your situation before your stay at 1 844 694-1639 (toll-free). Our team will then be able to accommodate your needs.

Please note that, unfortunately, our vaults are not easily accessible to people with reduced mobility.

Unfortunately, there’s no gym, pool or spa at Le Monastère des Augustines. However, our Relaxation & Spa package allows you to combine your stay at Le Monastère with a thermal experience at Strøm spa nordique Vieux-Québec, located at 515 boulevard Champlain. Le Vivoir and takeout counter menu features vegetarian and vegan options, fish or meat. We can offer gluten-free and lactose-free dishes on request. However, our meals may contain allergens. Please let our staff know if you have any allergies or special dietary requirements. We will do our best to accommodate your needs.
