Description
This meditative or contemplative walk invites you to start the day on a gentle note with an activity focused on breath and introspection. During the walk, the body moves and the spirit calms itself, promoting a state of full consciousness, allowing you to experience the present moment.
For those who have trouble meditating in a static position, this activity is a good way to experiment with meditation and discover its benefits. Different outdoor routes over approximately two kilometres wind around Old Québec and are punctuated with historical anecdotes.
When the weather requires it, walking meditations are practiced in Le Monastère’s corridors which for many years have been paced by the Augustinians.
Important notes
- Reservations required.
- Please wear a pair of weather-appropriate outdoor shoes or indoor shoes if the walk is likely to take place in Le Monastère.
- This activity is included in certain packages or with a day pass
- To register for an “à la carte” Walking Meditation, visit Le Monastère’s boutique at least 30 minutes before the start time or contact us in advance at 1 844 694-1639 (toll-free).
- During the winter, you will receive a locker key at the front desk upon your arrival at Le Monastère for your personal belongings.
