What is Le Monastère des Augustines?
Le Monastère des Augustines occupies the former wings of the Hôtel-Dieu de Québec monastery, the first hospital in America, North of Mexico. Arriving in New France in 1639, it was at the turn of the 21st century that the Augustinian Sisters chose to bequeath this emblematic building in Old Quebec for the benefit of the entire population of Quebec.
Becoming an NPO in 2015, Le Monastère des Augustines welcomes visitors from all walks of life. Among the services offered: hotel, a museum, cultural and wellness activities, as well as hosting corporate groups and wellness retreats. Whether it’s a symposium, seminar, retreat, conference or other, Le Monastère has everything you need.
Our cultural mission allows everyone to recharge their batteries in contact with history. Le Monastère is also committed to helping caregivers through its social mission. Our approach of “taking care of oneself to better take care of others” is in line with a vision of individual and collective well-being. With sustainable development at the heart of our project, we do our utmost to ensure that future generations can benefit from this important legacy of the Augustinian Sisters.

Our banquet menu lets you refuel during breaks in your event, or share a delicious meal with your guests. Reflecting our eco-responsible values, our meals and snacks are made up mainly of local and organic foods, or cooked according to what’s available at the time.
