Le Monastère des Augustines offers accommodations at a solidarity rate for self-sufficient patients and their carers who reside outside the Québec City area.
Enjoy a unique place of tranquility, along with a warm and personalized welcome. All healthcare facilities in Québec City are located within 9 km of Le Monastère.
In addition, the Hôtel-Dieu de Québec, which is adjacent to Le Monastère, can be accessed directly through an indoor passageway, making travel to and from the hospital easy and convenient year-round.

Stay overview
- Accommodation in an authentic room;
- 1 or 2 extra-long single beds;
- Individual bathrooms located on the floor – upgrades available ($) with a private bathroom, subject to availability;
- Keycard for direct indoor access between Le Monastère and the Hôtel-Dieu de Québec (if this is where the patient is being taken care of);
- Meals not included;
- On-site parking ($).
Eligibility requirements
- Reside outside the Québec City area and be receiving healthcare services in Québec City, or be accompanying someone who is;
- Indicate the purpose of your stay (examination, surgery, treatment, hemodialysis or medical follow-up) when making your reservation by email or phone;
- Upon arrival at Le Monastère, provide proof of an appointment at one of the hospitals in the Capitale-Nationale region;
- Stays offered subject to availability from August 30, 2026, to April 29, 2027, excluding the period from December 18, 2026, to January 2, 2027, inclusive;
- From August 30 to October 24, 2026, only the Authentic Rooms with one single bed will be eligible for this solidarity rate, subject to availability;
- Maximum of 10 nights per year at the solidarity rate;
- Other conditions may apply.

Additional option
The number of nights available at the solidarity rate of $65 is limited. If this program is fully booked for your desired dates, you can still obtain a preferential rate of $105 per night for single occupancy and $125 per night for double occupancy, in an authentic room. About the program
For more than 40 years, the Augustinian Sisters provided accommodations for companions of patients receiving care at the Hôtel-Dieu de Québec. Today, Le Monastère des Augustines continues this tradition of hospitality by offering comfortable accommodations and a peaceful respite for the patients and their carers. Through this program, Le Monastère seeks to help make specialized healthcare services more accessible to the population.
